Sunfish: loan marketplace and planning tools
Sunfish is a family-building platform that combines financial planning with a fertility loan marketplace. Through its partner lenders, loans can cover surrogacy, donor costs, medications, storage, and even travel. Most unsecured loans range from $5,000 to $50,000, and secured options (HELOCs) go up to $400,000. Most decisions come within one to two business days, and funds typically go directly to you, so you can use them with any clinic or agency. Sunfish doesn't charge a fee to apply, though some lenders charge an origination fee of 1% to 12%, which is included in the APR you see. Borrowers must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Sunfish also offers a loan repayment calculator, an IVF cost calculator, and a grants and discounts hub to help you plan before you borrow. Approval isn't guaranteed, and terms, eligibility, and rates vary by lender, so compare each offer carefully before you accept.
